Because I have the strangest luck, and sleeping schedule, I end up missing most of the Beachbody Coach Conference Calls. It is what it is. So, I kind of stumbled into a way to get the most out of my situation!
What I’ve started doing is downloading the calls (in mp3 format) from my wonderful Upline coach, Jenelle. Then, I add them into my iTunes & sync w/ my beloved iPhone. If you’re new around here, you probably don’t know how obsessed I am with my iPhone. It’s unhealthy. Think about having a McDonald’s McRib for every meal of the day. Gross, I know, but it gets the point across, doesn’t it? 😉
Anyway, once the call is on my phone I leave it be until I go to bed. Once in bed, I push play on my iPod and listen intently. Now, it’s very important — especially if you’re a n00b like me — to take notes while listening to the coach calls, unless you have a really great memory. (Did you know memory loss begins at age 20? Depressing, right?) I don’t, so I use a really awesome iPhone app, Awesome Note, to help me. I can type up bullet points, tips, & quotes from the calls in the app, and save it for later consumption.
Now, this is where things get cool!
One of the awesome (see, what I did there?) features of Awesome Note is its syncing capabilities! If you have a Google (gmail, reader, youtube etc) or Evernote account, your notes will sync to these online tools for easy access on your computer. I sync to Google Docs and pull up my notes the next day to review and/or print them. Soooo handy!
I’m a tech nerd, and very proud of it, so this system works really well for me. I haven’t used a pen/paper to take notes in years! So, if you’re like me and alllll about your smartphone, maybe there are some great apps out there to help you be more productive in your fitness business. iPhone users, feel free to ask me about those. I have over 150 apps. Boo-yah!
Now if I could only find a way to combat how hyped up I get after I finish listening to these calls. I’m not kidding. I’m so jacked, afterwards, that I can’t go to sleep! Might have to start listening to these calls when I wake up instead of when I’m trying to go to bed. Hmmm…
