Inside the Mind of Suz

I’m testing out the new 2.5 version of WordPress and its built-in gallery feature, so I went outside and took some pictures of the yard. I also took a funny picture of my dad which I’ll use for blackmail next year when he retires.

So, today was a pretty big day for me in the work out department.

How so? Well today, I finally started doing dumbbell bicep curls with a pair of 15 lb weights!

Depending on the workout rotation I set for the week, I can use as little as a pair 10 lbs and usually maxed out with the 12s. But today, I decided to test my strength and I did the reps with 15s. And without sacrificing form, I did it and felt great!

If you’re an advanced and/or a male fitness person, you probably don’t think that 15 lbs is that big a deal. But if you’ve seen me and my body composition you’d realize that it’s a lot to me and my twiggy arms!

YAY for getting stronger!

…that I love! I didn’t mean to!

Erika and kiwi are always trying to get me to watch new shows and I say “no” because I don’t want to get attached and then have the show ripped from me after it gets cancelled. I still have issues from how NBC dealt with “American Dreams”.

I was watching “Family Guy” last night. After the show went off, I had 30 minutes to kill until “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” came on. So I just left it on FOX where “Unhitched” was on. Guys, the show is HILARIOUS! I laughed the whole time!

I love being pleasantly surprised by shows I had no intention of watching. Then again, the same team that brought us “Dumb & Dumber” was responsible for “Unhitched”. So really I shouldn’t be surprised that I like this show, huh?

Anyway, now its my turn to recommend a show. CHECK IT!

I don’t recall there being one when I was in school there. But this is coming from the same person who didn’t know where the pool was on campus. I wasn’t all that observant in my college years.

Anyway, I made my daily stop at People Magazine’s website and saw a story on Kimora Lee Simmons. That woman cracks me up with the many different ways she uses the word “fabulous”.

People Mag had some quotes from Miss Kimora, but the part that stood out was that she was making these remarks from Washington University in St. Louis; my alma mater!

Reading a little further, it was revealed that she was there for St. Louis Fashion Week. Wow. You really do learn a new thing every day!

I sincerely hope Kimora spread her ‘Fabulousity’ over the WashU community.

Is it May 30th yet?

I cannot believe this actually exists. It’s called the Wopla Womens Planner and it calculates when your period starts and ends. The official description states that it “is a family/sexual life planner application, which help you to organize your sexual life.”

Wow.

I guess it just proves that they have programs for everything these days, huh?

So, last fall, my afternoon TV watching was really random. I surfed the networks in search of a show to latch onto.

Then, one day I stumbled across WeTV’s “Cheerleader U”; and it was in the middle of a marathon! Jackpot!

I already religiously watch CMT’s Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. So why not another cheerleader-ish show? I enjoyed watching the 1st season of Cheerleader U that focused on the University of Kentucky squad.

Season 2 started on Monday and now tracks the UCF Cheerleaders. I missed that one, but there are ample reairings that I can catch.

Yay for new TV!

I’m not sure why, but I want this. Specifically for my car, but I do spill a lot, so it can only help my messy life!

Where have I been? I’ve never even heard of this?

Anyway, the St. Louis Aces drafted Anna Kournikova to play. This oughtta be good. She was never known for being that good a tennis player. Her forte was being attractive and drawing more male viewers into the sport. So, no one can say she wasn’t successful!

Dudes! I looked in the mirror before bed and noticed some definition in my abs! They’re starting to look like they did in high school and this pleases me!

Relatively recently, I decided to increase my cardio work (keeping the strength training the same) and I think that’s the reason my stomach is starting to look better!

Attempting to regain the pre-1998 form, AKA the 6-pack days, is part of the reason I work out. Yes, I am that vain. Regardless, I’m glad I’m making progress! Wooooo!

I owe a lot of this to Turbo Jam, really. Soooo fun!
