Bob Saget is funny. Yea he was super corny on “Full House”, but everyone was corny on there. Everything he’s done since then has been pretty funny and filthy AKA the best kind of comedian. Remember his cameo in Half Baked? Classic.
But this post is not about the past. It’s about what just went down at the Sundance Film Festival. He stopped by the Twitter House to promote his new project (an A&E reality show tentatively titled “Bob Saget’s Strange Days) with Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols. In 7 one hour episodes, Bob will join in several AMerican sub-cultures such as rushing a fraternity. Don’t even tell me you don’t want to watch that, because if you do, you’re lying! He talks about that and other funny stuff in the interview.
Tune in to Jones Jukebox to watch the interview in full. You won’t be disappointed. ANd for other entertaining interviews, be sure to check out Steve Jones Radio.
I know I tweeted the hell out of my followers on Thursday from the Cavs/Lakers game in Cleveland, but there was one point in the game where I thought the place would explode. And no, it wasn’t when they showed Lil’ Wayne on the jumbotron.
It was very late in the game, with about 24 seconds left in the 4th quarter. Cavs were up 2 points and coming back from a TV time out. The sound guy put on the Eminem verse from “Forever” — a song by Drake feat. Kanye West, Lil Wayne & Eminem, that appears on LeBron’s movie soundtrack — on the loudspeaker as the teams returned from the timeout. To say King James was fired up was an understatement. He was rapping along to the song and the crowd got on their feet! It was soooo loud! Very cool moment that made its way to YouTube:
Clearly, LeBron wins at life.
I do have a couple of pics I took during the game. They’re coming later…
Well, you guys have talked me into it! I asked for feedback, and you guys have delivered! I now have all the info I need to resume my podcast-creation hobby!
I’ve decided to begin with the Gateway to 8k running plan, as outlined by DJ Steve Boy and will be starting from Week 1. I’ve decided that when the plan requires you to lower your BPM, I’m going to say something to the effect of “slow down your pace”, in the vocal cues. Then, based on however your fitness is, you can decide whether that means just to slow your run down a little (to a job) or walk. For most of the weeks, the slow BPM interval is only for a minute, so I don’t think a walk would throw you off too much.
So, that’s my plan! But I still need some feedback from y’all. I want to know what type of music to use for these. At the end of the day (don’t you hate when people say that?), I’m picking the songs, but I’m perfectly fine with y’all choosing the genre of the playlists. So, to help decide, I’ve created a little poll. Feel free to vote below! I’ll leave it open for a week or so, and use the results to decide which priority to make the g28k podcasts in.
And don’t even bother writing in Country or Rock, cuz it’s just not going to happen lol. You can write in artist-specific playlist ideas, though. After all, I did do a Britney Spears and Michael Jackson playlist and was thisclose to doing a Janet one.
Now, keep in mind that it’ll be a few weeks before the first week’s podcast gets posted. I want to give some time to vote in the poll, as well as some built in “lazy time” before I start sharing. What if I get distracted, fall behind, and y’all have already started the plan? Then I’m already messing up your training. I don’t want that to happen. So, I’ll probably already have a few weeks finished before I even start posting, so that doesn’t happen!
Also, I’ve received some emails, and a comment, about putting up a donation button on the blog. I’ve always enjoyed this process since I, too, use these podcasts. But, if you really want to, I’ve never been one to turn down donations! I thank you all for spreading the word about my running podcasts and giving me such valuable feedback.
My aunt got me tickets to the Ohio State women’s basketball game vs. Indiana for my birthday. I brought my dad along and we watched the Lady Buckeyes beat up on the Hoosiers, 81-64.
Sammy Prahalis is by far the best women’s point guard I’ve seen. She plays like a dude, for real. So much swagger. And can’t nobody do no-look passes like this girl. She’s a breath of fresh air to the sport and one can only hope there are more like her out there!
It was the first women’s game I’ve been to in I don’t know when, as well as the first time I got to use my new super-zoom digital camera at a sporting event. I wanted to see how it does in a basketball arena before I head up to Cleveland to see LeBron v. Kobe later this week. (I think I’m still going anyway lol). I also plan on using this camera for swimming meet candids as well as when I go into Ohio State football events.

I was quite pleased with my pictures! I wasn’t far away, but I also wasn’t in the nose-bleeds either. And I came away with what I consider to be nice pictures. I had planned to take a shot with no zoom to show where my seats were, but naturally I forgot.
