A Fanhood Test

I don’t know. Maybe I’m just getting old, but I don’t think I’m the “fan” that a lot of people are. Let me explain myself.

You probably have a favorite celebrity, right? Could be an actor/actress, musician, athlete, or whomever. I left reality star off the list because…well, I shouldn’t have to explain that.

Anyway, what would you do to meet and get the autograph of your favorite star? Crazy stuff?

I just read that LeBron James hosted a book signing in Cleveland today and people camped out. Camped out? Say, what? I mean, I love me some King James, but I aint camping out to meet anyone!

I can honestly say that there is not a single person on this planet (celebrity-wise) that I would camp out for.

That’s why I made this post. I guess I’m just not much of a “fan” anymore! How about y’all?

I live in a distant suburb of the city of Chicago, where a certain talk show host kicked off her new season with a much-publicized block party. People waited hours before the taping even began. I'm a big fan of this celebrity, but I always worry about bathroom facilities. Who would be worth that much wear and tear on my bladder?

P.S. I'm in week 3 of your c25k. Doing it for the 2nd time after a summer of inactivity. I love your playlists! They really get me pumped! Thanks for all you do.

I would worry about the bathroom issue as well. My bladder is tiny, so it would definitely be a big inconvenience!

Glad you're doing well with the c25k podcast! I'm still loving them a year and a half after I created them :)

I go to conventions to get books signed. That is about it. I won't camp out unless you count nice hotels as camping. :) My "rockstars" are writers. I can't really think of anyone I would chase down for an autograph.

BTW: Just ran to the Week 4 MJ mix this morning. HUGE THUMBS UP! Awesome!!! Thanks for the hard work.
