Wow

I totally just spent the past hour watching a QVC infomercial on Bare Minerals. I was only going to watch for like 10 minutes until SportsCenter came on, but I got sucked in!

No, I didn’t buy anything, but it prompted me to do a little research considering BM is my full coverage makeup of choice. I noticed that my foundations have expiration dates on them, and lately I’ve been thinking “should I replace these?”. My face is so sensitive and acne prone, that I don’t think I need to be putting expired shit on there, ya know?

But after doing some research, I’ve learned that the expiration dates were required by the FDA, but are no indication of how good the products are good for. So, I’m good to go! I don’t wear makeup like foundation that often, so I’m not going through my vials that fast. I’m still working on the 5-piece Starter Kit I got from Sephora a few years ago! The only item I’ve had to replace was the mineral veil, because that stuff is the shizz and I use it a lot, even with other makeup brands.

Speaking of Sephora… it’s Friends & Family week! Enter the code FF2008 between now and Monday, at Sephora.com, to get 20% off your order. It’s not good in stores. You’ll need a special printed coupon for that.

Back to Bare Minerals, though. I am looking at some of their new stuff. Having quality makeup brushes is important, so I am considering purchasing this gold clutch with a good selection of brushes in it. It was only like $49, but included 5 basic and everyday brushes that would cost much, much more if ordered separately. I can’t find the item on the QVC website, but I’ll track it down eventually. I always do! Found it!

You should all be proud that I spent that much time watching an infomercial and did NOT order anything. I’ve been sucked in before, which resulted in pain to my checking account. *coughTURBOJAMcough*
