Bare Minerals Was On QVC 5 Times This Weekend

Bare Minerals was the Today’s Special Value all day Saturday (April 20th) and so, Bare Minerals was on air 5 times in a 24 hour period. I’m not even ashamed to admit that I watched 90% of all of those shows too. You don’t know me! Actually, you guys do. Very well. Just search “Bare Minerals” on this blog and you’ll see how much I talk about them.

Anywhoooo, I never buy the major products or TSV sets. There’s always a bunch of stuff I don’t want, and even though they offer killer deals, I still never jump. That didn’t change this weekend. As of this post, I still haven’t bought anything since January’s raiding of my bank account. Actually, it didn’t even do that much damange. I bought a $20 brush set off of QVC and a super discounted 8-color eyeshadow palette for $21 (regularly $40) in my local boutique. See, not bad?

Last month, QVC hosted Bare Minerals for a couple of shows and they premiered a lip product that really caught my attention: double-ended Lip Quickies! The dubbed “Modern Florals” collection contain three bright and vibrant spring colors, 3 more muted colors, and a super cute bag (with an attached mirror). I perked up when they showed it, but I wasn’t at a place where I could splurge, even though the total, with shipping, would only be $33.59.

They showed the Modern Floral Lip Quickies again over the weekend and the price is still the same. Considering one solo Lip Quickie is $19, it’s a great value. I’m now in a position to purchase, but I still haven’t pulled the trigger. Why?

Bare Minerals Caught Me Today!

I’ve famously blogged about how I always tune in to QVC whenever they premiere new Bare Minerals products. And lately, they haven’t tempted me enough to get me to hit the purchase button… until today!

They got me!

In my last Bare Minerals post, I talked about how I’m most tempted by their brush sets on QVC, and that is exactly what I grabbed today. I get 4 quality brushes for less than $20. I just couldn’t resist! And the price during the 1-hour show was below $20. Now, if you want that set, it’s $25.

It’s The Little Things…

This came in the mail and instantly brightened my day. Not only was this a Target Daily Deal (meaning I got it for a fraction of its advertised price + free shipping), but 15% of the sale goes to Breast Cancer Research; at least it’s supposed to. *side eye*

Quality makeup brushes can be expensive. I’m still in love with my Sonia Kashuk Highlighting brush (which I use as a stippling brush for my Revlon ColorStay Liquid Makeup), so I knew when the Daily Deal for the Sonia Kashuk “Circle Around A Cause” 6 Piece Set popped up, that I best jump on it! I knew I’d get some good brushes, and it comes with a cute case, and the brush bristles are PINK! How cute!

I haven’t decided how I’m going to use these brushes yet. Back when I was traveling a lot, I’d probably just make these my “travel set”. But now that I’m not going anywhere much anymore, they very well could be my base set.

The one thing I know I will do is wash these regularly! Ladies, you must wash your makeup brushes on a regular basis! I can’t stress that enough. You don’t wanna be putting germ-y things on & near your face, lips, eyes etc. If you’re unsure how to clean, watch the below video. I use the same method and my brushes look great!
