‘DCC: Making The Team’ Will Be Back For Season 9

dcc

I was scrolling through my Pages feed on Facebook a few days ago when I saw the news. Because I “liked” the page long ago, I see the updates, whenever they happen to post them, and I squeed upon reading the news that one of my favorite shows, “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team” would return to CMT for a 9th season. (By now, you know I’m a huge fan.) Hell yea!

CMT has also greenlit a ninth season of Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team, the network’s longest-running reality series.

Music to my ears! Now, hopefully the season is a little longer (like it was for Season 7) where we got to see the girls in many episodes after they’d made the team. I thought that was just as fun as the competition to make the team itself.

*fingers crossed*

‘DCC: Making The Team’ Is Back Tonight!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you know I have an inexplainable obsession with CMT’s “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team.” I don’t know why, I just love it. Everyone has their TV guilty pleasures. Some of y’all watch Honey Boo Boo and/or Duck Dynasty, or even the Kardashians, so stop judging me! This isn’t nearly as bad as those! 😛

In any case, the show is back tonight with Season 8! I don’t even mind that I have to relocate, within my house, just in order to watch it. (Looking at you, Time Warner Cable. Stop taking away channels and increasing rates!)

I’m setting the over/under on episodes, until I go to the squad’s website to spoil who makes the team, at 2. I can never just watch it play out. I have to spoil it every year because I have no self control. The final squad has already been selected, as the season officially opens this weekend, so I can quickly look up any questions I might have. Again, don’t judge me!

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team Returns!

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you already know I have this weird obsession with CMT’s “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team“. I mean, I always like dance-related shows, but there’s something about this one!

I’m not sure if it’s making fun of some of the girls for knowing nothing about football (SMH), or just seeing how hard they work. I wasn’t a cheerleader, but my best friend, in high school, was. She was also a really talented gymnast, and hated that cheerleading got no respect.

Yes, there are lots of squads that just stand around and look pretty. The DCC do that and show out with talent. If you’ve never danced, memorizing choreography (literally dozens of routines), all while smiling is not easy. It takes mental strength as well as physical strength and aerobic fitness to pull off.

No, it’s not the hardest thing in the world — especially compared to the sport they are cheering for — but that doesn’t mean it’s “easy” either. They just make it look that way. Maybe that’s why I’m so intrigued. I took ballet for 10 years. I understand. 😉

Anywayyyyyy, as announced on Facebook, the show returns to CMT on Thursday, October 20 at 10/9c (ET). Looking forward to it! I hope this season shows more of the fitness/training aspect of the camp with Jay. I really missed that.

‘DCC: Making The Team’ Set to Return Oct. 15

DCC

Longtime readers of my blog know that I absolutely look forward to watching reality show “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team” every year. Now being that I don’t watch CMT (not giving them another reason to take away my black card), I wouldn’t know if the network was running promos or not.

Thankfully there’s this wonderful thing called the internet. (Have you heard of it?) Using this wonderful thing called Google, I was able to track down a CMT Fall Network programming press release which gave me confirmation of another season of “DCC: Making the Team”.

DCC: MAKING THE TEAM will return for its fifth season with hundreds of new hopefuls fighting to wear the famous blue and white uniforms on Friday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m., ET/PT. The eight-episode series reveals the struggles from try-outs to training camp as girls compete to earn a spot on America’s most-loved cheerleading squad. Back to whip the new recruits and seasoned veterans into top performance shape are Kelli Finglass, director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders; Jay Johnson, the no-nonsense fitness trainer; and Judy Trammell, team choreographer.

Suz is now a happy camper. I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

If you are like me and must know who made the squad before the show actually airs, click here for the final roster.

DCC Making the Team 3 is Coming Back Soon!

Season 3 premieres Oct. 4

Season 3 premieres Oct. 4

Don’t be confused by the title, I just had to shorten it a little because otherwise it would have been too long.

A couple of years ago, I stumbled upon a reality/competition show called “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team”. I was bored one Friday and started watching. I became obsessed. Isn’t that always how it goes?

Well, the show is now gearing up for its 3rd season, on CMT, and I can’t wait; even though I already ruined it for myself by checking out the final roster of cheerleaders. If you want to be surprised, do NOT go to www.dallascowboyscheerleaders.com. I’ve developed some favorites as I continue to watch, so I was dying to see if they retained their spots. So yea, I cheated. Sue me! Still there are a lot of Rookies that I didn’t recognize, so looks like some veterans were unseated or just finished their tenure and opted to not come back. We shall see!

In any case, the new season will debut October 4th at 9:30 PM (ET) on CMT. Check out the show website here. Can’t wait!

Now if I could only find similar info about a 3rd season of Cheerleader U
