All my fitness mags tell me to keep a food diary and I’ve always meant to, but never have…until I started this new task!
To help me keep track of what I am (and am not) eating, I downloaded the free and amazing Lose It! app for my iPhone. I can set up a profile for my body which includes my height, weight, age, and goal weight. Inputting your goal weight is what helps the app calculate how many calories you should be consuming. If you’re trying to lose, you’d eat slightly less than if you were simply trying to maintain your current weight. You also enter your exercise for each day, which subtracts from your calories because you burned them off.
