Burger King certainly isn’t blazing any trails with the announcement of their new $1 “French Fry Burger.” People who have been putting their fries on their burgers for years have all but scoffed at idea.
I don’t combine my fries and burgers when I’m at home, eating at a table, and settled. But sometimes, if I’m on-the-go, I don’t think I’d mind. In fact, it seems like a really convenient idea. Almost a no-brainer!
WHY HAS NO OTHER MAJOR FAST FOOD CHAIN THOUGHT OF THIS YET?!
I mean, I’m by no means crowning Burger King “King of Fast Food” (see what I did there?), but I like the move. And, to be honest, I’m not sure any other chains have the cut of fries to pull off something like this. The old Wendy’s fries (which were far superior to the crap we’re stuck with now) would have been perfect. McDonald’s fries are probably a little thin. And that’s not me being critical. They’re my favorite fast food fries. I just think a “French Fry Burger” would be best implemented with a thicker fry.
So, perhaps I’ll revisit this post after I try the “French Fry Burger.” I’m all for more ideas from fast food joints, even though I’m still not buying/eating chicken wings from McDonald’s.
P.S. Does BK’s burger come with cheese? Because I don’t do cheese-less burgers. Just saying.
