VIDEO: My #1 Fitness Tip

I’m about to head out on a run and forgot I even recorded this. It’s been chillin’ on my iPhone for 2 weeks. Thought I’d just go ahead and share! Hope this tip is as helpful for you as it is for me!

No More ‘Gateway to 8k’, So Now What? (VIDEO)

I know y’all have been waiting for this announcement with baited breath. I just hope none of you passed out!

Anywhoooo, I took a few weeks — after learning I could not continue making Gateway to 8k podcasts — and tried to make a decision as to which program I’d use instead. I promised I’d keep making podcasts and I’m sticking to that! Watch my video to learn my decision!

Also, I made a “2011 Faves” mix for the Couch to 5k Week 1 podcast. 2011 Faves is just my nerdy way of naming songs that I’m feeling right now. They probably also appear on my iTunes ‘Most Played’ playlist. Some are sorta new, and some not at all. (Y’all know how I roll) But I love them and play them a lot! I will share those as well! Just thought some of my original Hip Hop #c25k mixes needed a little update. Flo Rida’s “Low” is so not the biz anymore. Gotta stay fresh, right?!

Trying Something New…

There are a lot of things I blog about, but don’t feel like smothering my regular Twitter followers with. I’m well aware that different people follow me for different reasons, and I don’t want to alienate anyone if at all possible! I’ve found it somewhat difficult to maintain a balance between my business endeavors and just being plain ol’ goofy Suz.

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “don’t mix business with pleasure”, right? I’ve always wanted to enjoy business so much that it becomes pleasure, therefore ok to mix. Is that just entirely too ambitious of me? I hope to get there some day!

I renamed my main Twitter account @OhhSuzannah, and have made a new one, still using @Suzdawg, where I will feed my blogging and more business-y projects. There won’t be nearly as many tweets there as my main account, but I’m hoping they’ll be more focused. And sometimes, I’ll RT my account into my personal feed, if the situation calls for it. But, for the most part, it’ll be the hub for my blog, Tumblr, YouTube video uploads, and any other online activity I take part in.

This may not work at all, and I’m prepared for that. But I thought I’d give it a shot! You never know unless you try, right?

So if you’re already following my personal account, and want to keep up with what I do here, go ahead and follow @Suzdawg as well. Don’t worry. I won’t spam you!

Video: Suz Gets A Webcam

Yes, it’s finally happened!

Previously, I was recording my YouTube videos using a Fujifilm Finepix S2100. It shoots HD video, but I wasn’t getting the results I wanted, so I made the decision to get a webcam.

I stayed up entirely too late Wednesday night researching and, after spotting a super sale at Staples, decided to narrow my list to the Logitech HD C310 or the Microsoft LifeCam HD 6000. The sales guy said they were pretty comparable, but the Logitech was on sale for half off retail (most places had it around $50ish, but also some prices as low as $30), so I jumped on it for the wonderful price of $24. The reviews were pretty good online from what I read.

Using this webcam was easy. Plugged into USB and my Windows 7 64-bit computer detected it and automatically installed drivers.

I didn’t install the accompanying software (yet), but instead used my Camtasia studio to produce my first video. Audio seemed a little off, and it recorded the initial file to wmv format. Not a fan, but will experiment with future vids.

For now, I couldn’t recommend this webcam any more. Knowing I got a killer deal always helps as well!

Find out more about this webcam here.

Video: Beachbody Noob on Setting Routines & Time Management

Here’s the second video I recorded in my journey as a Beachbody coach trying to create and establish my own business. It’s all about the routine I set after I dedicated myself to this opportunity and how I manage my time. My routine is ever-evolving (due to how easily distracted I am!) but I like how I’ve broken things down thus far.

Keys to my time management and productivity? My iPhone note taking app, Hootsuite, and my to-do app. All tools I can access from my desktop or my iPhone.

Check out my video and let me know your thoughts!
